WHAT IS Gladiator Strength?

Gladiators is a weights based session, designed for muscle development and strength. These sessions take the intimidation out of lifting, with a focus on proper technique and tempo. Our trainers will take you through proper form and supply modifications for all levels. Through resistance training and compound lifts, Gladiators is a full body workout, which will bring strength and power to your everyday life. With many weight options offered at each session, you’ll be able to build your strength week by week, and track your progress in real time! 

WHY SHOULD I TRY Gladiator Strength?

Strength training is often under emphasized in the fitness industry, as a focus on calorie burn and intensity is prioritised. However, we believe every person should prioritise strength, as it can have profound effects on performance and overall physique. Body recomposition is more effective than weight loss alone, as it signifies the replacement of body fat with muscle, and can have dramatic effects on the way your body looks and feels. 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Every kilo of muscle burns roughly twelve calories per day at rest, which is about 3x as many calories as a kilo of fat. This means that your overall calorie burn is increased daily, even while at rest.

Another benefit is the addition to your overall health. As we age, our bodies lose muscle and bone density. Exercise, particularly resistance training, can slow down this process, and help you preserve precious strength and muscle, which means you’ll stay fitter for longer!

I really wish I wasn’t so strong’, said no one ever! Our Gladiator Strength class is here to assist you to improve your whole-body strength, with your entire body being the focus. We use weights and other pieces of resistance equipment, at a slower tempo, to ensure that Gladiator Strength works every muscle in your body!

Increase muscle tone and definition

A lot of people who exercise regularly aren’t interested in adding more muscle to their body, and that might be you. So, we ensure that in your session, you are lifting the right weight to ensure that you aren’t getting ‘bulky’ (who wants that?) and simply adding muscle definition and tone to your body.

Improve your confidence

There is just something about being strong, or just getting stronger, that makes you feel amazing. One of the things that increasing your strength will do for you is to improve your confidence in completing day-to-day activities, such as picking up your kids, moving items around the house or simply picking up the shopping.
