WHAT IS Shapers?
Physique goals can vary from person to person, however, many have a specific interest in toning and shaping their legs, glutes, and abs. This was the motivation behind the design of our Shapers session, which targets those tough to train areas through the utilisation bands, body weight, and (sometimes) DB exercises. Our Shapers sessions are offered at a variety of locations, and have become hugely popular amongst members looking to target and sculpt their lower body and core.
WHY SHOULD I TRY Shapers?
Shapers give you the power to laser focus on your goal physique. While our other sessions vary in fitness focus, Shapers sessions will always prioritise training of the legs, glutes, and abs. So if you have been wanting to shape and tone your legs, firm your glutes, or tighten your abs, this session should be one you take multiple times a week. While there are sometimes options for added weights, through the utilisation of bodyweight and banded exercises, you’ll be able to control the amount of muscle you build, and can keep your focus on toning. We offer this session at a variety of locations with a diverse team or expert trainers, so you can fit your aesthetic goals around your lifestyle. Strengthen your core
You’ve probably heard the term ‘core’ thrown around a lot, but how important is it to keep a strong core? Short answer – very! Your core or ‘abs’ are the central muscles in your body and connect your upper and lower body, support your spine and lower back and helps to maintain good posture. Hot tip - poor core strength is associated with back pain!
Keep your glutes tight
Buns of steel sound appealing to you (immediately picturing Jane Fonda in the 80’s)? Your glutes, or bum muscles, are actually a quite complicated muscle group and if they are to be trained well and with efficiency, actually need a dedicated program where their strength is the main focus. Strong glutes help to support your lower back, also contributing to reductions in lower back pain!
Your hips and core contain, what should be, the strongest and most powerful muscles in your body. When they are deconditioned, or weakened because of inactivity or prolonged sitting, you will feel a general sense of weakness right throughout your whole body. Shapers helps to keep them strong!
